Nothing beats the energy of group fitness class. It increases your motivation, encourages consistancy and it's also been proven that the healthy habits of others rub off on us. It's also a great way to meet other people who share similar interests - including an appreciation of great music.

“I can honestly say that Disco Barre has changed my life. I had always found exercising a chore and it was never something I enjoyed, but since discovering Disco Barre I have not only become fit and toned but have enjoyed every second of it. The classes are in a low lit studio with disco lights and a careful elected disco soundtrack so getting in the zone is easy. The exercises always vary so I am always learning and pushing myself. Everyone gets attention from Sophie and she checks posture and technique throughout the session. I look forward to every class! – Georgia.

Sophie Ritchie's Disco Barre is almost like a religion to me. I am so grateful to have it in my life.

I've tried so many fitness trends - Pilates, all the yogas, running, boxercise, weights, martial arts, bootcamp, personal training etc. I've embraced each one fully and thrown myself into various regimes, yet none of these things have ever held my interest. I was beginning to despair of ever finding my exercise 'thing' until I discovered Sophie's class.

I've been doing Disco Barre for over 3 years and I'm totally evangilical about the benefits. It's so  effective and rewarding - I could actually see a difference in my muscles after the first class. Without fail, I leave each class feeling energised and empowered. – Emily

Pilates 1-2-1

'Physical Fitness is the first requisite of happiness'.

Oh I could quote Jospeh Pilates for days!

I am a Level 3 teacher with almost 9 years experience and I believe everybody should experience the benefits of this dicipline.  Joseph Pilates is my guru, an absolute legend and he was just so ahead of his time.  Everybody should do Pilates, it's as simple as that and I am passionate about the benefits.  Whether you suffer from back pain, want regular training or just a few sessions to understand the fundamentals before starting a group class, or you are pushed for time, I will come to your home or work and we will create a varied, fun programme to suit your needs.

"Sophie is a natural teacher - by that I mean you want to learn from her, you want to improve, each session is different from any previous and most importantly she’s strict without ever being an arsehole about it.

You feel and see results quickly. When I started Sophie told me the quote about ‘you’re only as old as your spine’. Well I might not be younger but I feel more active, with more energy and more desire to get off my butt and do other stuff. I now do karate and I notice the extra flexibility working with Sophie has given me.

Finally, she makes the whole thing fun (as it can be) and adapts to where you are at. Heavy weekend? All cool. Bit of a cold? She’s got you. Feeling lazy? Prepare for the strictness."

1-2-1 barre training

As hands on as I am in class, if you want to look like a pro during the warm up and cool down, you find yourself truly struggling with a particular exercise, your alignment or technique, a private session could be the solution.  I guarantee you will nail it fast with my 100% focus on you and only you.

I'm noticing that companies are placing far greater importance on wellbeing in the work place.  It makes sense that if the emotional, mental and physical needs of the workforce are met, they will be far better equipped to deal with the stresses of office life, will take less sick days and show more loyalty.

Exercise has many proven brain boosting benefits including better concentration and focus and an improvement in memory and thinking skills and we always have such a giggle, so it's a lovely bonding experience.  I can come to your office and I don't need any ballet barres or equipment, just some yoga mats.  I'll bring the good vibes and the tunes.

We are all striving towards a more balanced life and healthy hedonism is currently a big trend that has crept into the world of the 'hen do'.

I can work with you to tailor the class and music to suit the personality of the bride to be and provide some bubbles for after the class, sending you on your merry way more prepared for the retox.
